Bengal Basin Block BGL-01
Central & Southern Bangladesh — Bengal Basin
This page provides a concise public screening view for BGL-01. The first 4–5 lines of each detailed section remain visible; deeper technical, commercial and transaction-level information is protected for formal diligence.
The Bengal Basin represents a broad sedimentary system where the exploration case depends heavily on understanding depositional architecture, reservoir distribution and charge history. The regional setting can support multiple play concepts, but uncertainty is typically higher where well control and seismic resolution are limited. Basin modelling, seismic reprocessing and careful prospect risking are therefore central to the technical workflow. The objective is to convert regional potential into a ranked set of drillable prospects.
The resource case should be treated as prospective until block-specific mapping, risking and volumetric analysis are completed. Large regional structures can be attractive, but size must be balanced against reservoir, seal, charge and data-quality uncertainty. A probabilistic range with explicit downside and success cases provides a more useful basis for investment screening than a single deterministic number. No reserve or contingent-resource claim is implied by this public summary.
The Bengal Basin can be positioned for frontier-style exploration, technical partnership and data-led prospect generation. Near-term value can come from assembling a clean data inventory, reprocessing priority seismic, generating basin-scale play maps and maturing the strongest leads. Portfolio investors may also consider combining early-stage Bengal acreage with more mature onshore exposure to diversify geological risk and capital timing.
Because uncertainty can be material at the screening stage, a staged investment model is appropriate. Early funds should target the technical questions that most reduce geological risk before a larger drilling commitment is made. Detailed capex, opex, fiscal modelling, infrastructure scenarios and partner structures are protected and should be reviewed with the current licence and data package.
This block is presented as part of ZeroPlus Mining’s onshore opportunity portfolio in the Bengal Basin. The project thesis is to apply modern exploration methods to under-evaluated acreage while maintaining strict technical and capital discipline. The intended pathway runs from data-room screening to play definition, prospect maturation, drilling and—only following a commercial discovery—development planning. Public information is deliberately limited to an early-stage investor view.
A modern technical programme may include seismic reprocessing, depth conversion, structural and stratigraphic interpretation, basin modelling, source and migration analysis, reservoir prediction and probabilistic volumetrics. Technology selection should be driven by the dominant uncertainty, not by data volume alone. Any well location should be justified through an auditable geological model and a documented value-of-information assessment.
Bengal Basin content is presented as a screening-level opportunity summary. Block-specific coordinates, mapped prospects, seismic extracts, volumetrics and financial assumptions are protected for formal data-room access.
